Welcome to Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership's dedicated Safety Camera Website.
In 2000 Lincolnshire was one of eight areas to participate in the National Safety Camera Pilot Scheme. The scheme was known as 'Netting Off' and allowed Partnerships to use fine revenue generated through speeding offences to pay for safety camera operations. Throughout the two year pilot scheme safety cameras saw significant reductions in both collisions and casualties alongside substantial reductions in the speed of vehicles.
Safety Cameras are operated in Lincolnshire through a partnership between the following organisations:
- Lincolnshire County Council
- Lincolnshire Police
- The Highways Agency
- Lincolnshire NHS
- Lincolnshire Magistrates' Courts
Through the use of safety cameras, Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership aim to reduce casualties caused by collisions where excessive or inappropriate speed is a causation factor.
